Instructions for virtual appointment
We utilize our EMR software Telus Health to conduct our virtual visits. We do our best
to make sure that any information you give to us during virtual care visits is private and
secure, but no video or audio tools are ever completely secure. There is an increased
security risk that your health information may be intercepted or disclosed to third
parties when using video or audio communications tools.
In advance of your child's appointment, you may receive an email with questionnaires
that are usually completed in office. They will come from a platform called "Ocean".
Please have these questionnaires completed before the appointment time.
Before your appointment, there will be another email sent to you from "Telus
Health". This email will contain the link for your scheduled appointment. It is suggested
that you test your connection, which is included in the email prior to your appointment
time. Please ensure you only click on the appointment link at the time of your scheduled
appointment. We will do our best to be on schedule for these appointments, however,
just like in office, there may be a delay. We ask that you please be patient with us, and
will attend to your appointment as soon as possible.
If you do not receive either of these emails to your inbox, please check your junk mail,
as they may be redirected due to being sent from an unrecognized email address. If at
that time, you have still not received the emails, please contact our office and one of
our receptionists would be happy to resend whatever emails you need.
The patient should be present and available for the appointment.
